"A New Beginning" was photographed in the early fall in front of Silver Pond on Prestonwood Farm (now WinStar Farm) on Pisgah Pike, just outside Versailles, Kentucky.  The farm, settled in the late 1700's, is on the national historical registry and was originally named Silver Pond after this everlasting spring-fed pond.  Unfortunately, a powerful storm uprooted and destroyed these wonderful sycamore trees and collapsed the stone wall.
